I am a motivated self-starter and I believe in working hard to achieve goals. I’m passionate about helping others and my career has enabled me to do this every day.
I completed my BSc (hons) degree in Physiotherapy in 2006 and my MSc in Sports Physiotherapy in 2012 both in UCD. I currently hold the positions of Lecturer, Module co-ordinator and Clinical Tutor in UCD. It gives me the opportunity to work with students both in the lecture theatre and out in clinical environments. This role keeps me at the cutting edge of our ever evolving profession, which I can translate directly into my clinical practice, all for a better service.
I have keen interests and training in psychology, philosophy, dietetics, acupuncture and the holistic approach to health and well-being.
As a physiotherapist my patients’ well-being, long-term recovery and health are my priorities. I establish good relationships with patients because as an expert health care professional I understand I must earn my patients’ trust in order for them to make the best recovery possible.
As founder of my own physiotherapy practice, Be Well Physio, my belief in the kaizen philosophy, in pushing yourself to learn new things consistently everyday has been cemented. Improvement in skill, thinking and ability to help others only comes from implementing lessons learned.
